3 Ideas for a Labor Day Weekend Getaway!

~ Natalia Radcliffe ~ With the school year starting back up, September is just around the corner, which means that Labor Day is coming up, marking the end of another summer season. For most, that means a nice, three-day weekend, oftentimes accompanied with a yummy barbecue with family and friends.
If you’re thinking about taking advantage of the three-day weekend and going on a short vacation or day trip around here in Southern California, we have some ideas for you!

1. Visit a beach!
What better way for a summer hurrah than spending time at the beach? With California still experiencing summer heat, the beach is a great option to enjoy some cooler weather and all the sights and sounds that the ocean brings. We recommend looking into Ventura, Santa Monica, or Santa Barbara. Not only do they have beautiful views and plenty of things to do, they are also close to Prospector Ranch, so if you are looking for somewhere unique, comfortable, and affordable to spend the night, you have an easy option.

2. Go to an amusement park!
Spending the weekend at an amusement park is another fun way to enjoy some time off and celebrate the end of summer. Southern California is host to a plethora of amusement parks, from Knotts Berry Farm, to Six Flags, Disneyland, and Universal Studios.

3. Glamping here at Prospector Ranch!
Camping is another activity a lot of people do on Labor Day weekend. For those of you who like the experience of camping, but also like to camp in style and comfort, you can book our property as a space to park your camper. You can enjoy the peaceful outdoors of the property, hanging out in our saloon or under the shade of our many large trees.
