We have some big news…

Okay, we’ll tell you!

We have a new Airbnb up and running!

Located near our Conestoga covered wagon, we’ve set up a glamorous tent that transports you to memories out under the stars…but in style.

For starters, you get a comfy, rustic, Western-looking bed to collapse in at the end of the day, instead of a sleeping bag on the hard ground you would normally use when camping in a tent. In addition, owner Meggan has included an AC/heater, to keep the area at just the right temperature. Hot days or cold nights won’t be a problem if you have one of these in your arsenal! Residing in Southern California, that was a feature Meggan made sure to have. For those who live in the Golden State, you know the pain of a 100 degree summer day, right fellow Californians?

In addition, the tent has the option of either staying closed or open, giving the feel of sleeping out in nature, if guests so wish. The tent comes with two flaps. The outer one is made of canvas, and the inner one is made of a mesh material. This gives guests the opportunity to keep the “door” open, if you will, without having to worry about bugs or animals coming inside. Or, if guests prefer more privacy, they can close the canvas flap to give utter seclusion from the outside world.

Meggan’s husband, Chris, was a big help in putting the tent together. It took him the better part of the day to put it up, getting the structure of the tent steady and stable. From there, Meggan took over, decorating the inside and continuing the vibe of a rustic western charm that can be seen in the other two Airbnbs on the property, as well as the saloon. As she was on a budget, Megan found she had most of the items to get the Airbnb up and running already on hand. Getting an Airbnb started can be expensive, so saving money when you can is always helpful. Meggan likes to go to a lot of thrift stores or, on the occasion, craft stores like Hobby Lobby to get the majority of pieces for an Airbnb. You can get great deals at those places, and find unique pieces which can add that special charm. For more tips on decorating an Airbnb, check out our blog on just that topic!

The tent shares a bathroom with the Conestoga Covered wagon, but is far enough away from the other Airbnb to give a sense of privacy. Guests who stay at both have the opportunity to experience a luxurious outdoor bathroom with a rustic beauty.

We’re excited to welcome this new Airbnb to the family! Anyone who’s interested in booking a stay, take a look at our Bookings section on our website. Looking forward to meeting you!
