New AirBnb Lodging and Filming/Photography Location is Coming to Prospector Ranch!

Exciting news!
The wait is over, we’re getting a new AirBnb accomodation for Prospector Ranch! In the next couple of weeks, we ‘ll be attaining a handcrafted luxury 1800's style Conestoga Covered Wagon for customers to stay in.
Yes, you heard it right. a covered wagon!
While virtually attending the biggest U.S Glamping convention last year, Meggan saw the display and fell in love with it. It was a big investment, so she wanted to wait until this year’s in-person convention to see it for herself. It was the perfect addition in keeping with Prospector Ranch's 1800s western theme!
At the beginning of April, Conestoga Wagon Co., the maker of the wagon, will attend a camping convention by Sacramento and plans on making their way down to Los Angeles afterwards to bring the wagon. The logistics will be a little difficult, as it’s being transported on a 80 ft semi truck. The small private dirt road leading to the ranch will not be able to be used by the semi truck due to size. We have decided to use our 1965 Chevy truck to pull it off of the semi truck and bring it up the road to the ranch where it’ll be set up. Stay tuned to our Instagram and Facebook accounts to see this!
The idea is to have the wagon close to the saloon and create a “campsite” similar to those used during the old Western Gold Rush days, complete with a fire pit and canvas-tent. Meggan hopes to have the covered wagon fully functional by May 1st, both as an airBnb and a site for photo shoots and filming.
We can't wait to see how the Conestoga wagon will turn out! Check in with us on our blog and social media for updates as we bring this piece of 1800s history to life.
