Prospector Ranch: Looking Back on 2024
~ Natalia Radcliffe ~
2024. Another year has come and gone. Another year of success, and amazing opportunities and guests that have come through here! We can’t name everyone, but here are some highlights of our 2024.
We were featured on KTLA!
In October, we were both the host location of an episode of KTLA’s Unscripted, and featured as a place to visit in the episode! It was such a joy and honor to work with Dayna Devon and the rest of the KTLA news crew. You can check out the full episode here on their YouTube channel to see some beautiful shots they took of the property, as well as an interview with owner Meggan Kimberley!
We were host to some YouTube influencers!
This year, we were the location of some influencer’s content. Jordan Matter and the team behind his channel came out to film part of an episode they were going to post to their YouTube channel, using the Airstream and other parts of the property in filming.
Travel influencers Tyme and Andy chose Prospector Ranch as an Airbnb location to explore, shooting content for one of their videos. You can see all different parts of the ranch, as well as see our Saloon star in an aptly-themed Western style introduction at the beginning of the video.
Host to multiple photoshoot locations!
Throughout 2024, a variety of companies and organizations (including James Storehouse, dog rescue organization HIT Living Foundation, clothing line Athletics MVMT and fashion company Carly Jeans) used us as a location for their photoshoots. With a multitude of unique photo-esque spots on the property, there were plenty of ideas to choose from.
The location of a short film!
Recent graduate of the French Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (similar to Juilliard here in the U.S.), Asha Culhane-Husain used Prospector Ranch as the location of her first professional short film! Inspired by her own experiences and the stories of others, the film centers around the experiences and challenges of a military trainee dealing with and overcoming the effects of a concussion. Culhane-Husain really enjoyed working with us here! Even though there are a lot of Western spots on the property, there are also plenty of areas that could look like a military base in a desert environment. She utilized those features of the property to the full extent. She even turned our Airbnb Safari tent into a medical tent that looked like it belonged right on a military base. The film is set to release sometime in 2025. Stay tuned in the future to hear more about the film and more behind-the-scenes stories!
As we say goodbye to 2024, we eagerly welcome 2025! We can’t wait to see what kinds of opportunities and experiences will await us this year.
