Prospector Ranch's 2022 Goals

Happy New Year to all of you from Prospector Ranch!

Greeting 2022, we are excited for all the things we hope to accomplish this year. We're always looking ahead to the future, thinking of ways to improve our business.

Currently, Meggan and her husband Chris are working on renovating a chicken coop so they can get some chickens to add to the animal populace on the ranch. Having chickens will give Meggan the opportunity to offer fresh eggs to her guests who stay on the property, whether they be campers or Airbnb guests.

Meggan also wants to finish landscaping her backyard, so she can use it as a venue for gatherings such as small events or dinner parties. The mountain views and vast skies make for pretty scenery. In the past, she had a wedding that took place there. The positive remarks about the venue inspired her to improve the space so it could be used for more events.

Also in the works is cleaning up and restoring her recently purchased classic 1943 Minneapolis-Moline Tractor. These tractors have an interesting history as they were exported to the UK during WWII to pull tanks during the war. She hopes to get it working again so she can drive guests and customers around the property in it, in addition to offering fun hayrides.

One of her most ambitious and exciting projects is purchasing a covered wagon reminiscent of the Old West that would be another lodging space. Not originally created as one, the unique design of these particular covered wagons make for an interesting addition to her short term lodgings. It will fit right into the 1800’s theme of Prospector Ranch. Meggan will be going to visit the ranch in Idaho where they are built this week. Stay tuned for more news and pictures on this in the coming weeks.

A new year can come with new ideas and projects to accomplish, as the feeling of a fresh start to a new year can be motivation to tackle projects. We find that creating clear, manageable goals help us see projects to the end. Whatever ideas or projects you want to complete this year, we wish you the best of luck.

You can do it!
