A Time to be Thankful at Prospector Ranch

~ Natalia Radcliffe ~

Can you believe it’s Thanksgiving again? Time sure flies by, doesn’t it?

Once again, the holidays are coming up, and, once again, the year is coming to a close.

We’ve been blessed in 2022 with many good things here at Prospector Ranch, from all of our esteemed guests who have stayed at our Airstream, Montana Condo and Arizona house, to everyone who has used Prospector Ranch as a venue. We’ve had Jay Leno (our best wishes go out to him for a speedy recovery) and John Fogerty come out here for an episode of Jay Leno’s garage, and many people use our venue as a photography or filming location, such as the magazine Story and Rain, with their article on This is Us actor Justin Hartley.

We also have welcomed many new animals to our family this year.

Specifically, Boomerang and our cat Cleo’s 2 new kittens! It’s been so fun to see them grow and make Prospector Ranch their new home.

During this year we’ve also been able to talk with renowned veterinarian and WWII veteran Dr. Robert Miller on all sorts of topics, ranging from the field of imprint training, (a revolutionary foal training technique that he was one of the fathers of) to his experiences as a veterinarian, how he came to be in the career, and his time in the military. We just released a new blog story featuring him, so go check it out!

We also had a very successful fundraiser back in May for Children To Love, a charity that supports Mercy Childcare in Uganda, Future for Children located in Ukraine, as well as other charities around the world. We had so many people come for an enjoyable afternoon and to support of a good cause. We are so grateful for each and every one of you who attended! For more information on the event, take a look at our blog page!

Meggan has also been able to go visit and volunteer at Mercy Childcare this year. Don, her African son as she likes to call him, is growing up so fast. Throughout her time there through the years, she’s seen the charity grow in size and numbers, becoming more and more established in the community and a source of aid for any who might need their services.

Speaking of Mercy Childcare, Meggan and her husband Chris will be visiting there this November. He will be performing during Worship Night at the Worship House in Kampala, a church run by one of the founders of the charity, Wilson Bugembe. See this blog for more information about him!

Want to know more? We want to share more with you!. Stay tuned to our blog page for a future story on just that!

We wish you all a happy Thanksgiving!
