An Update on Our Covered Wagon!

~ Natalia Radcliffe ~

Our covered wagon is well on its way to becoming a part of the Prospector Ranch family!

The inside of the wagon is mostly decorated. Meggan’s waiting on a few items she ordered, then the interior is all set.

The biggest part of the project left is the bathroom and shower situation. As soon as it’s figured out, the covered wagon will be ready to go!

Meggan has a distinctive idea for the bathroom. She wants to build a rustic-looking building near the covered wagon that will house a toilet and shower, keeping with the theme of the saloon. The toilet will be completely indoors, but she wants to make the shower/bathtub area partly outdoors, such as creating a half-roof above. She would also like to add a small stock tank that will be used as a bathtub with heated water. Designing the bathroom this way offers a unique experience of feeling like you’re out in nature while taking a relaxing bath. You can unwind to the sounds of leaves rustling in the wind or birds chirping to each other in the trees.

Unlike the Airstream, the covered wagon can house up to 4 people, perfect for a fun girls getaway weekend, a trip with friends, or a wild wild west family vacation.

Eventually, Meggan wants to add a safari tent to sit by the covered wagon, furthering an ambiance of the Old West.

Due to being in the middle of working on the bathroom and preparing for other things that are in the works, Meggan estimates the covered wagon will be ready to go by the end of June, alongside another AirBnb she is preparing, called Royal Palm Oasis, located in Glendale, Arizona.

In addition to working on the covered wagon, Meggan’s also preparing for Prospector Ranch’s first fundraising event for the charity Children to Love, benefiting children in the Ukraine and Ukanda. This is happening at the end of May.

Stay tuned for more information!
